Yaypaul.com title slider – explained
I received a request asking me if I’d mind sharing the piece of code I use to slide entry titles up and down on Yaypaul.com. I’m always happy to share: I’ve striped the effect code, added some extra comments and hopefully with this explanation you’ll be able to decipher it. This particular effect has already been noted on a number of sites, so this feels like a natural extension.

RCT3 Custom Map: Pirate Cove
Following right on from my first RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 custom map post yesterday, Fluffy Mountain, is the next map named Pirate Cove. The wedding and it’s associated planning have had some posts backed up, so now you get two new custom maps in one weekend!

Last year I published a number of Sim City 4 maps and while I love the game, the experience was waning on me. I jumped over to another of my all time faves Galactic Civilization II and posted some of my custom ship packs, then I set out to find more custom content I could make. That’s when I thought of Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.

In the end you’ve still got to build your Flash correctly
Fellow internet dwellers will recall the Apple open letter about Flash support on it’s mobile platform, the inevitable Adobe follow up and a world of News coverage. I’ve made my opinion known on Twitter a couple of times. If your project calls for Flash or if you just choose to use it, there are some best practices which can help everybody out.

Valve has taken an important first step, now we need to follow through
This week Valve, the creator of the legendary Half Life series of games has been releasing some teaser images hinting that it’s Steam platform may soon be on the way to an Apple computer near you. This is an important first step for the gaming community as a whole, one in which we the gamers need to follow through on.
